Projects in 2013


We had an amazing year here at Studio X, working with many incredible and eclectic artists. Here are a few highlights from the year:

Pearl Jam finished tracking, and mixed their album Lightning Bolt with producer Brendan O'Brien!



The Head and the Heart came in with producer Shawn Simmons to do tracking for their sophomore album Let's Be Still.



Bungie and composer Marty O'Donnell recorded a trailer for their new game Destiny.



Pop Cap Games and composer Stan Lepard recorded the scores for Plans Vs Zombies Adventures, and Peggle 2.



Neon Trees came in and recorded a song for the Iron Man 3 soundtrack!



Christopher Owens formerly of the band Girls came in to do a live performance and interview for NPR's World Cafe.

Macklemore and the ACLU along with ad agency Wexley School For Girls came in to film a commercial featuring our own Andy Park as a button pusher in the background.

Soulfly and producer Terry Date recorded their new album Savages.



Norwegian Black Metal band Satyricon enlisted producer Adam Kasper to mix and record vocals for their self titled record.



Disney came to Studio X to record the music for the Tokyo Disneyland 2013 Christmas Parade!

Pearl Jam did a town hall interview for Sirius XM radio with a group of 34 contest winners.

Russian singer Alexander Kogan recorded with the Seattle Symphony for a new project.

We recorded the cast album for the musical Watt?!?.

Skrillex and Chance the Rapper came in to record a new collaboration.

The project Pokemon Reorchestrated recorded and mixed their Kick Starter funded project with members of the Seattle Symphony.

The Lonely Forest released their record Adding Up The Wasted Hours which was partially recorded at Studio X.

Producer Terry Date recorded and mixed a new record for Miss May I.

Rapper Tech N9ne came in to track for a new project.


We continue to regularly work with the Pacific Northwest Film Scoring Masters Program and composer/instructors Hummie Mann and Tim Huling who tracked with the Seattle Symphony.

Steve Treseler and Ingrid Jensen tracked and mixed a new record with our own Reed Ruddy at the helm.

Composer and visionary Glenna Burmer brought in a slew of composers to record her Celebrate World Music project, and also worked on the recording of the score for her ballet version of Dante's Inferno.

We had the honor to be a part of the reformation of Soundgarden, and recorded their new album King Animal here at X with producer Adam Kasper.

Earlier this year we had PopCap come in and record the music for their new game Solitaire Blitz!



Updates 2011 pt. 2


The second half of 2011 brought many amazing projects into our walls.

We worked on a new album with Seattle rockers Vendetta Red, and Producer Terry Date.





We also worked on the soundtrack to the film Ira Finkelstein's Christmas.

Producer, and Death Cab for Cutie guitarist Chris Walla brought in The Lonely Forest to work on some tracks.



Producer Adam Kasper came in to work with Atlanta band Asherel.



Filmed, produced and edited here in Washington, with post production work done next door at Bad Animals, we scored the soundtrack to the adaptation of Madeleine L'Engle's (A Wrinkle in Time) Camilla Dickinson.

Rock legend Duff McKagan and his band Loaded were in to record their new record with the great Terry Date producing.

November turned into an epic music video shoot!

Jazz guitarist Jaiman Crunk was in to track for a new record.

Composer extraordinaire Marty O'Donnell was in with the Seattle Symphony to score the soundtrack to the new Halo Reach videogame.

Seattle legends Soundgarden were in with producer Adam Kasper to mix tracks for their new box set/record Telephantasm!

We had the pleasure of having Seymour, Indiana's own The Elms in Mixing with Adam Kasper for the first part of April. We had a great time with Adam and Owen and wish them well with their new record.( Left - Right) Adam, Owen and Sam








January 2009
Happy New Year! We kicked it off by jumping right into an album project with an eclectic rock group all the way from Skagway, Alaska (population 600!) The session features producer Josh Evans, engineer Sam Hofstedt, and Ben Smith on drums.

October-December 2008
We were pleased to host Dave Matthews with producer Rob Cavallo and engineer Doug McKean, who continued work on the next DMB record, expected to be completed in 2009. We were also blessed with a visit from the rest of the DMB guys for one week of the two-month session. (Photos coming soon!)


March 2008
Seattle-based Fall From Grace entered the studio in the beginning of February with producer Terry Date to begin the band's first record for Bodog Music. Mixing should be completed by the end of March, with an expected release later this year.
